House Rules:
You have your own front door key. Please come and go as you please, but when
out, leave your roomkey in its place.
Payment:
In order to confirm your reservation I require a valid credit card number
with the expiration date. When using VISA, you MUST also include the SAFETY CODE.
This code consists of the last three digits of the number on the signature area
on the back of the card. Please be so kind to e-mail or fax this information.
Please be aware that when arriving payment must be made in cash, or certified
US$ check (made out in the name of: Marcel van Woerkom), this is due to the
high cost of credit card transactions.
Your reservation is not valid until you have received a confirmation of your
booking by Marcel. Please bring this confirmation with you. I can request it.
Registration:
By Dutch law it is required to register all my guests, by name, profession,
address, nationality, and passport number.
On the day of your departure, please be so kind to vacate your room by 10
AM. Later checkout is possible if I do not have an early reservation.
It is no problem to store your luggage for the day.
House-rules for Guest safety:
Drinking and smoking in moderation is allowed in my house.
Excessive use of alcohol and using harddrugs are not allowed.
Marcel's drug policy: While I respect everyone's opinion and freedom, the building can not. Mushrooms, Cocaine, or any kind of hard drugs are NOT allowed.
You are welcome to show your room/suite, to your friends, but please ask me
first. This is for the security of the other guests, and myself.
Guests will be held responsible for any excessive damage to house property.
Thank you for being quiet after midnight. My other guests will appreciate
it.
Sorry I cannot allow the use of my kitchen. To make up for that, you will
have a coffeemaker in your room, or you can make tea. You also will have a refrigerator,
or if not you can use mine in the kitchen.
I do not serve breakfast but at the doorstep of my house you will
find a million places for breakfast, from McDonalds to Gary's Muffins around
the corner.
Please let me know your time of arrival in Amsterdam by train, plain or car,
so that I can open the door for you.
Check in time is before 11.30 PM. Under no circumstances can I accept a later
check in time.
In case of an unexpected delay, please let me know as soon as possible!
Cancellation Policy:
In case of a cancellation we use the following rules:
Between two weeks and one week in advance: we charge 25%.
For a cancellation within a week (*up to two days) before the planned arrival date we charge 50%.
Full charge applies for a cancellation two days before planned arrival (*or later), or a guest who does not show up.
In case of a failure to obey the house rules, Marcel beholds the right to cancel
your stay.
